The beginning.......

I will attempt to share my journey in my quilt making hobby. I will explain how are these quilts are related and how I have gotten to where I am today in this passion of quilting.

The top photo is part of a quilt that was owned by my father's sister. When my parents closed my aunts estate, my Mother had this quilt shipped from Colorado to PA. My mother had the quilt displayed in her home. I do not know the history of this quilt. Did a family member make it?  Did my mother have it shipped home just because she liked it?  Or was it because my mother was fond of all things made of fabric? After all, she was an excellent seamstress.

The second photo shows a case with the previously mentioned quilt and the first full sized quilt I ever made. More on that later........
